About The Lloyd's & City of London Branch RBL

Our Purpose

The Lloyd's and City of London Branch has been part of the Royal British Legion since its foundation. Originally the Lloyd's Branch, in 2013 our name was changed to reflect a broader role in the City of London, including our founding of London Poppy Day.

The Branch delivers across our three core pillars of; Remembrance, Fundraising and Community.

Remembrance

We orchestrate the annual remembrance service in Lloyd's of London

Fundraising

Working in collaboration with the Lloyd's Patriotic Fund, we fundraise from City of London institutions, under the banner of our annual "slip campaign".
Having founded London Poppy Day in 2008, we support what is now a national event, by coordinating efforts across the City of London during the annual poppy campaign.
We encourage individuals and organisations to consider us as a charity of choice if they are embarking on a fund-raising effort. Our just giving page can be found in our links.

Community

We have a long record of supporting the 6 RBL homes, through our continued delivery of life enhancing projects.
We host an annual supper in the Square Mile, for veterans, including residents and carers at the RBL homes.
We foster and maintain relationships with aligned institutions. Specifically, we collaborate with the Lloyd's Patriotic Fund and the Lloyd's Military Network. We encourage and facilitate comradeship across the City of London.
